Washwood Heath removals - Info about Washwood Heath

Washwood Heath is an area to the centre-west of Birmingham, England. Many bus routes, mostly towards Birmingham city centre or Chelmsley Wood, cross through Washwood Heath; perhaps the most famous is the 94, which crosses from the east of Washwood Heath to the West. Washwood Heath is served by no trains.

Washwood Heath used to be a predominantly Irish area of the city, but with nearby Alum Rock and Small Heath, West Washwood Heath now is part of the thriving Birmingham Asian district. Whereas Alum Rock and Small Heath are both more commercial areas of this district, Washwood Heath is more residential. East Washwood Heath has a few places of note, particularly the Fox and Goose, both a pub and a shopping district. East Washwood Heath is known for having a particularly large number of banks for such a small area; one road near the Fox and Goose complex has six banks and building societies on it, a rarity in Birmingham's suburbs.
