Rubery removals - Info about Rubery

Rubery is a southern suburb of Birmingham, England.

Rubery is divided into two essential areas, either side of the A38. North of the A38 is primarly residential consisting of a sub-area named Waseley. South of the A38 is the High Street (New Road) where Rubery's retail activity is concentrated, as well as an extensive residential area.

Geographically Rubery is located in the valley of the Waseley and Lickey Hills (known as the "lungs of Birmingham"), and within the basin of the Callowbrook and thus the River Rea.

Rubery is in recent years has benefited from the brown field site Great Park, which provides numerous leisure activities, namely a cinema and bowling alley, as well as further housing estates.

There is some controversy among the residents of Rubery whether the Frankely Estate is technically a part of Rubery, as it lies over the West Midlands/North Worcestershire border.
